What this site is
eGourd publishes travel guides, food notes and cultural background written from firsthand journeys. It is an independent journal, not a booking service, a travel agency or a tour operator. We do not sell tickets, accommodation or tours, and we do not take reservations on anyone’s behalf.
Accuracy and your own judgement
Travel information ages quickly. Opening hours change, dishes disappear from menus, bus routes are rerouted and prices move. We date our guides and correct them when we learn something has changed, but we cannot guarantee that everything is current at the moment you read it.
Please treat what you read here as a well-informed starting point, and confirm anything time-sensitive — transport schedules, entry requirements, opening times, safety conditions — with an official source before you rely on it. Decisions you make about your own trip remain yours.
